Who does cookies for Santa?

Although I don’t remember doing this as a child, my wife does and still loves the tradition. I loved watching the excitement as Adalyn helped make the cookies and put them out. So needless to say, this tradition is a keeper!

It has been a fun filled week with family leading up to Christmas this year. First a trip with the rents, brother, sister-in-law and niece to Branson and then back home for Christmas with the parents at our new home. What a blessing to get to share so many good memories with family! It has been a good Christmas!

All this time with family and starting to shoot more of the family has got me to thinking. I need more shooting just for me. No technical aspects to it, just plain shooting for me and the family. I realize its been a long hard but Great year. We’ve met soooo many GREAT couples and families! Y’all have truly been a blessing to us. We are looking forward to good changes ahead and for new growth and friends. We can’t wait to see some of the couples and families, who are now friends, again for shoots this coming year. We feel truly blessed to be welcomed into so many families and lives to capture great moments. Thank you!

With all of that one of my goals for this coming year is to shoot more for the love of it. Just to shoot. Try new things. Experiment with film again and to return to the love of photography. Don’t misunderstand me here, I haven’t lost my love for what I do by any means, I just need to rediscover what I do and how I do it. Its been a very fast paced year and I think along the way I lost a little hold of me and whats important. So here’s to getting back to whats important. Here’s to a new year of trying new things and really gaining more perspective. Here’s to finding myself in my God. Here’s to living life to its heights, its depths and its widths. Here’s to trying new techniques and having fun! God Bless and find yourself and what is important!
