Little Rock, AR Family Photography {Dawson Family}

To be honest this is the hardest blog post I have ever written…if this were a letter there would be black tear stains all over the paper.  We have been incredibly blessed through this amazing journey of photography to meet hundreds, likely thousands, of wonderful people.  Thousands who we’ve never even met, but who follow us on social media…. humbling to say the very least.  We are given the honor to capture small glimpses into the lives of those in front of our lenses.  From those precious newborn babies to watching your little ones grow and develop such fun personalities to graduations, weddings, pregnancies, and every moment in between.  We thank you ALL. Sincerely.  So, today we come to each one of you asking you to press pause for a minute on all of your busy, busy lives and send prayers to our Creator on behalf of this precious family.  We believe strongly in the power of prayer; the power of God’s children coming before our Father is a powerful thing.  The Dawson family is dear, dear friends of ours.  We  loved getting to know Tim & Kacy in our young marrieds class at church before children, watching sweet Kelley come into this world and grow into such a beautiful little girl, and then the addition of John Paul with his servant heart and funny spirit.  We consider them family to say the least.  Tim & Kacy’s daughter, Kelley, was diagnosed almost a year ago with something called hemimegalencephaly (HME).  It is where the left side of her brain grew larger than the right hemisphere.  This has been the root cause of years and years of uncontrollable seizures. Tim & Kacy have explored every option for treatment, but nothing helped Kelley from being seizure free.  Kelley’s seizures have slowly increased in variation, duration, & severity  over the past two years. With her seizure activity increasing, they were noticing some concerns of memory loss and regression. They are now to the point that the most successful option for seizure control is surgery. Kelley will be undergoing a hemispherectomy to remove the left hemisphere of her brain on Thursday, November 9th.  There are so many people who have been lifting them up in prayer the last few weeks, and they ask that we all continue to do so.  Specifically, for the hands of the doctors performing Kelley’s surgery.  For God to give her doctors wisdom and to guide their steps.  For Kelley to come through the surgery with flying colors. For healing for her body as it adjusts to a new normal.  For strength during the months and years of physical therapy ahead.  And for continued peace for Tim & Kacy.  We believe that this battle belongs to God, He will fight for Kelley, and whatever lies ahead God will be glorified.  So friends, we ask each one of you to please say a prayer on behalf of Kelley and her family.  Today their church family is observing 24 hours of prayer and we would love to add to that!  Thank you all in advance for your prayers and keep them coming this week and in the weeks and months to come!

Now, for all the beautiful pictures from the Dawson’s recent family session!  I may have had a REALLY hard time narrowing down for the blog… you’ve been warned.  Thank you so much to Tim & Kacy for sharing your gorgeous family with us!  We love y’all and know God is holding your precious family in the palm of His hand!
