Magnolia Hill Engagement Session {Colby & Cassandra}

We headed down to Magnolia Hill in Little Rock on Sunday afternoon for a fun and laid-back engagement session with Colby and Cassandra!  It was an absolutely beautiful day, a bit windy, but overall a fabulous day for a shoot!  This was our first time to Magnolia Hill and Buddy and his wife Alda are the sweetest couple, and we look forward to shoot at their venue more!  Cassandra chose Magnolia Hills for their engagement session because she envisioned a beautiful shot on the lake with her and Colby in the canoe.  We were very excited that the wind finally died down just a bit toward the end of their session for us to be able to get her dream shot!  We waited until the very end  just in case they fell in the lake!  Though as funny as that would have been and how many hilarious photographs we would have gotten, they got the hang of it pretty quickly and managed to stay dry.  It was definitely worth it though because the lake shot is one of our favorite shots (among many!).  We roamed the property for a few hours and came across an old, overgrown baseball field, SO cool!  I will avoid the “If you build it, they will come” line (HA!), but that is totally what we were thinking during the shoot.  Anyway, the old score board was lying on the ground with the number plates scattered around it.  And wouldn’t you know there was enough numbers for Colby and Cassandra’s wedding date… SCORE!
